Soriano logged a .440 batting average for the Chicago (N) Cubs, racking up 9 RBIs and 2 home runs.

After his sharp shutout performance, he said that he gives a lot of the credit to his batterymate. "Me and him are just locked in out there. He's so great at having a feel for hitters. I couldn't do what I'm doing without him."

The Chicago (N) Cubs sent 22-year old minor league starting pitcher Donald Veal to the Chicago (A) White Sox for 25-year old reliever Brandon League and 23-year old minor league catcher Tyler Reves.
Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.
