After his sharp shutout performance, he said that he gives a lot of the credit to his batterymate. "Me and him are just locked in out there. He's so great at having a feel for hitters. I couldn't do what I'm doing without him."
Zambrano has made 21 starts, tossed 124.2 innings, struck out 97 batters and walked 71. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said the Toronto manager. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
Gonzalez fired a 5-hitter and totaled 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance.
