New York (A) bombardier Alex Rodriguez set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence in a 11-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

He spoke to the writers in the postgame press room and said, "I guess you could say I was a good guesser today...especially on the last one...I was ahead in the count, so I got set for a certain pitch...and got it...all of it."
For the game the New York (A) third baseman had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 3 runs.
A. Rodriguez hit a solo-shot off J. Contreras in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off J. Contreras in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off E. Santana in the 6th and walked in the 7th.
This year Rodriguez has collected a .271 batting average to date with 98 hits in 361 at-bats, 64 RBIs, 24 home runs and scored 71 times. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said the Toronto manager. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
Gonzalez fired a 5-hitter and totaled 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance.
