| Monday, July 7th, 2008: Indianapolis's Walker Gets IL Player of the Week
It was announced today that Indianapolis third baseman Neil Walker has been acclaimed by the International League as the Player of the Week for his outstanding play last week.
Walker posted a .417 batting average as he collected 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 RBIs.
This year Walker is hitting .310 with 95 hits, 12 home runs, 63 RBIs and has scored 42 runs.

It was a sweet day for Brian Bixler of the Indianapolis Indians, who found out he has been named the International League Player of the Week.
The Indians second baseman put up a solid .591 average and contributed 2 home runs and 3 RBIs to claim the honors.
Bixler is hitting .349 this season with 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 38 hits in 109 at-bats.
