| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 12th, 2008: Bixler Bashes 5 Base Hits
Brian Bixler was on fire today and sparked his club to a 4-2 victory over the Braves. The Indianapolis second baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 6 against Richmond in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."
B. Bixler flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th, doubled in the 11th and hit a two-run home run off J. Devine in the 13th.
For 2008 Bixler is hitting .344 with 3 home runs. His stats include 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

| Monday, May 12th, 2008: Star of the Week Named in IL
Brayan Pena went on a week-long batting spree against International League pitchers and hauled in the Player of the Week trophy.
The Richmond catcher battered the opposition for 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 8 runs. He hit .500 and posted a .500 on-base percentage.
Looking at his season stats, Pena has compiled a .343 batting average and a .397 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 18 runs.
