| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 21st, 2008: Player of the Week: Morales of the Knights 25-year-old Kendry Morales sent shock waves through International League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the International League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Morales made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .545 average, 6 hits in 11 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 runs batted in.
Where the Charlotte Knights first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Morales certainly made his mark last week.
During the current season Morales is batting at a .290 clip with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 74 games and scored 13 times. |  | Tuesday, July 8th, 2008: Pawtucket's Pauley Shines, Shuts Out Charlotte In an impressive outing, David Pauley whitewashed the Charlotte Knights 2-0.
"I'm getting a lot more downward movement instead of side to side. That side-to-side stuff can get hit a long way," said Pauley, who is throwing with more of an overhand motion.
"It's not rocket science. It was just a little adjustment, but that's all it took."
The Pawtucket hurler held Charlotte scoreless, allowed 5 hits, chalked up 8 strikeouts and yielded 2 walks.
This season-to-date Pauley has 1 win and no losses and a 2.45 ERA. |  | Tuesday, May 27th, 2008: Harris Tosses Shutout Against Charlotte Jeff Harris spun his magic in a 2-0 shutout victory, allowing 2 hits while totaling no walks and 2 strikeouts.
The Buffalo pitcher put quite a spell on Charlotte in a strong performance.
"I had a lot of good things working in this one," Harris said. "I worked both sides of the plate. I was rarely behind in the count."
