 | Saturday, May 24th, 2008: 400 Homers for Jones The Atlanta Braves had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 6-4 decision to Arizona. The reason -- the splendid slugger Chipper Jones hit his 400th career homer in today's contest at Turner Field. "I'm fortunate to be here," Jones told the media after the game. "The Braves have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #400 was for them." For his career Jones is hitting .307 with 401 homers, 1336 RBIs and 2175 hits. |
