"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," according to the Minnesota manager. "Peavy kept us confused the whole game." The Detroit hurler rang up 8 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his 4-0 shutout victory. Up to now Peavy has compiled an ERA of 4.86 with a 10-3 mark over 18 starts.
